Quebec City| The capital of Quebecoise
This was my second time visit of Quebec city, since I am living in Montreal within one year and six months. This time I wanted to explore differently as I should mention you that If you ask me one simple but most precious objective of my life I would say that I born to travel. But I have thousands of questions and obstacles inside my mind and maybe you can say that I am not enough confident to make it happen now. It’s true I am not confident to travel alone because I have never travelled alone in my life, Always i had accompany to travelling somewhere till now.
It’s really difficult and kind of impossible that you will get accompany to travel because everyone has different way of travel and different objectives also.
Quebec City | Downtown | Day-1
This time was my first experiment to earn my confident to travel alone though I had not preparation about maps, which I did normally for previous trip in Thailand. I have prepared almost more than 20 maps on Thailand .
This time I have used car sharing (Amigo Express) as transportation as suggested by my couchsurfing host Alice. I didn’t know about this facilities before It’s really interesting and very cheap price. I have booked the sharing trip 20 CAD Montreal to Quebec city and same for return ticket also. While if you choose public bus which can be more or less 50 CAD for each side journey. Also some traveler use car fuel share option from the Facebook traveler or backpacker groups ex: backpackers Canada, but you have to be lucky person to get a ride if you are not flexible to timing or date to travelling, while there are a lots of Amigo Express service each few minutes intervals.
It was my curiosity for few years! Why Quebecoise think different from other provincials people? There are lots of reason from history of geopolitical tension between French and British colonial events.
We are not going through all details because it’s not ours interest to represent here though each and every architectures of Quebec city has its own history, particularly I can say about the geographical position of the city represent its importance though you will see around the city installed ancient missile systems, those were protecting the city from the enemies.
As it is very small city and I know you are a curious traveler so I shouldn’t tell you all the street names from where below mentioned pictures has been taken because too much road indication kill your curiosity of exploration of a new city. It’s too many instructions make you superficial tourist which I don’t want. I want that while you are planning to know a city then you must give efforts to explore and I wish this interesting picture will not let you sleep until and unless you see each places otherwise you will feel that I didn’t do enough to visit the city of Quebec and you will have to come to visit again.
While you are walking around the city you will find so many building wall painting which gives a beautiful impression of the city, I will not say that its uniqueness of Quebec City because you can see so many beautiful building wall paintings in Montreal too but there is different type of painting in-between wall painting of Quebec city and Montreal which I want to give you homework to identify and wright me down into comment box.
After all I would say that you will observe different activities and you will feel to extend your plan to stay more and more days, just not to miss something in this beautiful city.
PARC NAUTIQUE CAP- ROUGE : Day-2
This is a beautiful natural park with the combination of excellent natural beauty of Cap Rouge river and arrival of French colonial naval force in this region.
Bellow given pictures has imports of naval port and fishing in this area, this geographical location of river and small mountain with green cover has significance role to establishment of French colonization in Quebec.
I will not say impossible to continue walking one side to another side. Definitely if difficult for old age people because few times you have to up and down walk through long stairs to cross the mountain, but it’s interesting because you will walk under beautiful high rise trees and fresh air.
